Jeremy Johnson - Associate Pastor - Minister of Adults & Evangelism

MINISTRY ROLE & RESPONSIBILITY
As Associate Pastor - Minister of Adults & Evangelism, I have the privilege and responsibility of giving leadership to all adult education, discipleship, and evangelism ministries.
ABOUT ME
I joined the staff of St Andrew Baptist Church in May 2013 after 10 years in the Accounting industry. I received a Bachelor of Science, Accounting degree from Troy University and a Master of Arts, Christian Leadership degree from Liberty University Baptist Theological Seminary.
I married my best friend, Amanda in 2005. We have 5 beautiful children; Mimi, Malley, Maitland, Finley, & Grey. Downtime for us includes…..who am I kidding, with 5 kids, there is no downtime for us. We just enjoy life, enjoy each other’s company, and enjoy serving the church and our Lord together.
FAVORITE SCRIPTURE
Romans 6:23 – “For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.”
I can actually tell you my favorite word of this verse. I love the word “but,” because it provides the transition from the bad news to the good news. I also love the contrast before and after the comma. Wages are earned, gifts are freely given. Our sin is what earns our wages, God is who gives the gift. Death (eternal separation from God) is earned, eternal life (with God) is the gift. And all of this is “in Christ Jesus our Lord.”
INTERESTING FACT
I met my wife, Amanda, in 6th grade. I asked her to be my girlfriend the day I met her, she said yes!
